THE DIRECTOR

Renee Minchin. I run the finance of listed companies, and I sit on the boards that sign them off.

I've sat in the room when a board works out its next appointment needs to be a woman, and the shortlist is whoever the chair already knows. I'd rather be the name you didn't have to guess at.

  • CFO since 2012, and currently CFO of two ASX-listed companies, in gold and in funds management
  • Non-executive director of private companies, including an AFSL holder and large proprietary companies
  • Audit and risk: works alongside audit committees and external auditors, and signs off audited accounts as a director
  • CGMA. Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance
